Members are required to serve on one of 3 different committees that allow board members to contribute in a focused area.
The WDB Mission:
To provide leadership that integrates workforce, education, and economic resources for our communities in LWDA 5.
These three committees include:
Workforce Development Committee
Mission: To provide leadership in connecting local/regional business, education, and economic development initiatives, as well as ensuring quality services in the CareerForce System or One-Stop centers.
Community and Government Relations Committee
Mission: To develop and foster community and government relations while promoting the Workforce Development Board’s interests and policies.
Youth Committee
Mission: To help youth make a connection between learning and earning.
Some members of the youth committee do not sit on the WDB.
Collaborate with County Commissioners
The CMJTS WDB works in partnership with County Commissioners from across our 11 counties. The CMJTS Joint Powers Board is the governing board and provides oversight of the federal and state funding received by the CMJTS WDB.
