Incumbent Worker Training Program (IWTP)
Are you looking for training to upskill your current employees? The CMJTS Incumbent Worker Training Program (IWTP) grant may be the right fit for you. IWTP is a business-driven program designed to provide direct financial assistance to train current employees to avert a layoff and/or improve the economic competitiveness of regional businesses. The program is intended to offset a portion, via reimbursement, of the businesses’ costs to train and upgrade the skills of its workforce through a grant of up to $25,000.
“We are able to provide expert-led training to our staff at a very reasonable “cost” by utilizing grant funds. It is easier to get a yes to training from upper management when the trainer’s cost is covered. Our employees bought into their training and have taken what they have learned and executed it in real work life! It has been rewarding watching them expand their toolkit for leadership and working more efficiently.”
