CMJTS is proud to announce annual funding of $150,000 from the Youth at Work Grant initiative through the Department of Employment and Economic Development, which will specifically support the Operation Exploration (OE) youth summer camps. This transformative program is set to empower a diverse group of 174 at-risk youth over the next two years, providing them with invaluable experiential learning opportunities in a camp-like environment.
Operation Exploration is committed to creating accessible pathways for success tailored to the unique situations and challenges faced by participants. Every individual engaged in the OE program will meet the eligibility criteria of the Minnesota youth program, ensuring that we address the specific needs of at-risk youth in the community.
“We believe in the potential of every young person,” said Diana Ristamaki, Youth Program Manager. “Our commitment through Operation Exploration is to provide a platform where these youth can learn, grow, and realize their dreams. We are grateful for the support that allows us to make a lasting impact.”
With a focus on experiential learning, the summer camps will expose participants to a variety of skills and opportunities, fostering personal and professional development that extends well beyond the camp experience.
