Central Minnesota – The Central Minnesota Jobs and Training Service, Inc. (CMJTS) is excited to announce that it has received a $8,723 grant from the Greater Twin Cities United Way (GTCUW). This funding will enable CMJTS to create comprehensive employer career pathways graphics that represent a diverse array of industries, in alignment with the Minnesota Department of Education’s career wheel.
“Knowledge is power,” and this initiative aims to translate that power into actionable insights for priority student populations. By providing critical information about local career pathways, CMJTS is committed to equipping students with the tools they need to make informed decisions about their educational and career futures.
Through collaboration with local schools, CMJTS will identify relevant coursework and Career and Technical Education (CTE) opportunities that align closely with the needs of local employers. This initiative will empower school counselors and staff to effectively guide youth in exploring potential career paths, ultimately benefiting both students and the local economy.
“This project represents a vital step in connecting students with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in the workforce,” said Leslie Wojtowicz, Development Manager at CMJTS. “We are thrilled to partner with local employers to create meaningful educational experiences that prepare our youth for the careers of tomorrow.”
CMJTS looks forward to driving positive change in the community by fostering connections between students and regional employers, ensuring that all young people have access to valuable career options and the opportunity to thrive.
