The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) requires local workforce development boards and chief elected officials to engage in an integrated regional and local workforce planning process. The focus is preparing and submitting a single collaborative regional plan that incorporates local plans for each local area within local workforce development areas 5 and 17. These plans serve as four-year action plans to develop, align, and integrate service delivery strategies to support the area’s vision, mission, and strategic goals.
The Local Plan for Local Workforce Development Area 5 and the Regional Plan for Regional Workforce Development Area 3 is posted for a 30-day public comment period from June 2, 2021 to July 2, 2021.
Persons should direct all comments via email to CMJTS CEO Barbara Chaffee through her executive assistant, Victoria Hosch (vhosch@cmjts.org). Thank you for your interest in and support of workforce development in Central Minnesota.
