The Low-Income Worker Training Program helps workers whose incomes are at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty guidelines gain new skills necessary to move up the career ladder to higher paying jobs and greater economic self-sufficiency. Funds are available to eligible participants and may be used to pay for job-specific skills training, training-related materials and supplies for training-related certification or test fees. Central Minnesota Jobs and Training Services, Inc. is currently recruiting eligible participants for the Practical Nursing training. The Practical Nursing program prepares students to provide nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse or physician. The program emphasizes ethical and cultural sensitivities, which all healthcare professionals must exercise, as well as facilitates students in becoming safe, conscientious healthcare professionals committed to excellence and responsibility.
